Every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate, however Birds (Argent clothing Ltd) cannot be held responsible for the content of any pages reference by an external link.

Postage & Packing

Orders under £75 have a standard delivery charge of £5.50 per order and for orders over £75 delivery is FREE.

Some small items (e.g. ties, badges, socks) will only be subject to a charge of £3.50 if bought singularly. These will be sent out via Royal Mail second class post.

Delivery Details

Orders will be delivered by courier or Royal Mail and delivered to UK addresses only.  We do not deliver outside of the UK.  You can specify a delivery address i.e. your home, your neighbour's, your workplace or any other address at the time of placing your order.

We aim to dispatch orders within one week, however we ask customers to allow up to three weeks for delivery in the event that any items are temporarily out of stock. If we are unable to deliver in this period we will contact you straight away.

You may receive separate packages which arrive on different days as we often send goods that are in stock straight away and send the outstanding goods as soon as we receive them from our suppliers.

Errors or discrepancies with orders received must be brought to our attention within 5 days of receipt. 

If an order does not arrive within 14 days of confirmation of dispatch, please get in contact with us immediately to enable us to investigate.

Our agreement to supply the goods to you is made on the date we dispatch the goods to the address you supplied when you ordered the goods.

Title in the goods shall pass on the date we dispatch the goods to the address given when you ordered the goods.

Product Photos and Colour Swatches

Product photos and colour swatches are scanned from the manufacturers' catalogues. Colour swatches should be used for guidance only as colour representation in photography, printing, scanning and computer monitors can vary. Some product styles may have changed slightly since the publicity photos were taken or may vary between different colours/finishes of the products. The photos should therefore only be used to give a general indication of style and fit.


All prices on this website are quoted in UK pounds and include VAT where applicable but exclude postage and packing.

The prices and promotions offered on the website may differ from those offered at the same time in our store.

Prices reduced for sales and promotions are only valid for the period specified. If no period is specified we may alter or end the price reductions and promotion at any time.

Credit and Debit Cards

All credit and debit card details are taken at the time you place your order and payment taken on completion or part completion of your order.  We do not accept American Express. 

If either you or we cancel part or all of the order the relevant amount will be refunded onto the card used to make the purchase.

All online credit and debit card payments are processed by a leading card processing gateway who are approved by all leading card issuers.

Returns Policy

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return any items within 28 days of receipt subject to it being returned in the same condition as when dispatched, the swing tickets are still attached and the receipt is provided.  Exchanges and/or refunds will only be granted within this timescale. Returns made outside of the 28 day period are at the discretion of Birds (Argent Clothing) and a credit note or exchange may be given.

Any product that has been personalised with names or initials or decorated to order is exempt and cannot be refunded or exchanged if unsuitable. 

Please enclose the till receipt and a brief covering letter explaining the reason for the return and whether a refund or a replacement is preferred. If you do not include all of the necessary paperwork then the refund or replacement may be delayed or not be completed. We would recommend that items returned be sent back and proof of posting obtained.  We will not accept responsibility for lost or damaged goods. The item is your responsibility until it reaches us.

Postage costs incurred to return items will only be refunded if an incorrect item has been dispatched by Birds (Argent Clothing) Ltd and then up to a value of £3.50. We will not refund the postage if we have dispatched what you have ordered.

If you believe you have been sent an incorrect item and wish to be credited for the postage please include a receipt for the postage cost.

Faulty goods will be inspected and if deemed to be faulty due to a manufacturing fault, Birds (Argent Clothing Ltd) will either replace or credit you for the item to the value when purchased. Due to the nature of school wear and sport, faulty items will only be considered for inspection within six months of purchase. Anything over this time will be dealt with at the discretion of Birds (Argent Clothing) Ltd.

This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.
